Bec and Sparky, under the guise of Echelon Grey, create a sublime atmosphere at Sunshine Coast weddings and music venues with only one guitar, two voices, rich harmonies and a tasty mix of your favourite tunes.
Bec began her musical studies at the Blue Mountains Conservatorium, where she trained for four years, before furthering her studies at the Conservatorium in Sydney, training in musical theatre and jazz singing. Not only is Bec working on her own original CD, her beautiful voice can also be heard singing backing vocals on many local Sunshine Coast recording artists' CDs, most recently including Gemma Doyle, Paul Fogarty and the Dave Flower Band.
Mark 'Sparky' Paltridge began his illustrious musical career in Melbourne, playing drums and percussion for various world music ensembles, before being snapped up by the now infamous Toothfaeries, for whom he played percussion until their demise in 2000. Sparky has been on the coast for over ten years, playing with many folk/dance acts, including Subfreq, Zimbira and folk festival favourites, The Houseprouds.
He's currently drumming for The David Flower Band and African exponents Jambezi, guitar in the popular local act Acoustic Boogaloo, as well as running one of the premier recording studios on the Coast, his own Spark One Studios.
Together Bec and Sparky delight audiences at Sunshine Coast with their own original compositions, as well as adding a fresh and vibrant spice to familiar tunes both old and new.
